Can you believe Spot is the oldest bar in Commerce, under one ownership group!  Amazing, Come Join us this Saturday July 16 to celebrate our 5th birthday!! We'll be giving out the presents this year (think free beer for our first 10 loayalists!! PS just in case you haven't heard, our Summer hours, beginning May 15th are Wednesday through Saturday 7pm till close!! 

History

After moving to town and walking the streets as a mailman for a few years, owner Deryck Gorman decided to fill a gap in the Commerce nightlife scene and took a leap into bar business. Helped immessurably by his brothers Jerrod, Ricky & Robert Hudson throughout the first years, he remodeled a building "on the square" and has poured many a beer since then.

What we do

SPOT is focused on creating a relaxed, fun environment for it's patrons: we pack as many small entertainments in as we can, have a couple of 50" flat screen for sporting events, and host many live events throughout the year. Not to MENTION the greatest (and most often changed :o) beer selection in town.

SPOT has a beer and wine to go license, which, combined with the city's permit for special events on the square, allows for the sale of beverages to go during events such as the Annual Chili Cookoff and the Bois d' Arc Bash. Come down and be part of the fun!

Where we are

SPOT is located on the downtown square in Commerce, TX, the home of TAMU-C and the Bois d'Arc capital of Texas (we had to ask, too).
